Department of Structure
It is the branch of civil engineering, which studies on the subjects of structural analysis and the design of carrier systems. Steel structures, ferro-concrete structures, wooden structures, structural analysis, structural dynamics and building materials are the main areas of expertise.
Purpose:
- To be able to dimension structures under a certain safety, sufficient rigidity, and most economically and effectively for the purpose.
- To determine the most unfavourable loads according to the various combinations by performing the structures under strict loads, moving loads and seismic loads, and to be able to calculate the force and stresses by making static modelling and static analysis of these structures.
- To be able to determine the chemical, physical and mechanical properties of engineering materials such as steel, concrete, wood, insulation, decorative, protection, etc.
