It is concerned with the theoretical and practical issues in the planning, design, construction and operation processes of transportation systems. Earthworks, Highway Engineering and Railway Engineering are the main areas of specialization.

Purpose:

• To be able to design roads, highways, railways and intersections according to appropriate standards,


• To determine the technical elements of the road by planning the route,


• To be able to examine whether the road structure is safe and economical and to classify the roads.
